The Viking Access Systems L-3 Slide Gate Operator is a high-performance residential and light-commercial DC slide gate operator engineered for reliable continuous-duty operation, advanced diagnostics, and superior battery backup performance. Powered by a 24VDC motor with Viking’s advanced V-Flex control board technology, the L-3 features an onboard LCD diagnostics display, adaptive digital limits, smart positioning system, integrated heater, and Viking’s True Battery Backup System for uninterrupted operation during power outages. The operator supports gates weighing up to 1,600 lbs. and up to 60 feet in length while maintaining smooth and quiet 12-inch-per-second gate travel.
The integrated V-Flex control platform provides real-time diagnostics, voltage and amperage monitoring, gate status updates, and simplified push-button programming for easier installation and troubleshooting. The smart positioning system maintains accurate gate positioning even during manual operation or total power loss, while adaptive digital limits ensure consistent stopping and travel performance.
The L-3 is also compatible with Viking wireless accessory systems including Viking Konnect™ wireless communication and Viking Monitor™ remote management systems, allowing installers and property managers to remotely monitor diagnostics, settings, and gate status from compatible devices.
Built for harsh environmental conditions, the operator features a built-in heater for operation in temperatures down to -20°F, advanced lightning protection rated up to 20,000 volts / 10,000 amps, and multiple layers of corrosion protection including G90 galvanization, zinc plating, UV-rated powder coating, and a heavy-duty 1/4-inch steel chassis.
