Description
The Lockey TB200 Turtle Back Hydraulic Gate Closer delivers quiet, controlled self-closure for pedestrian gates, built for high-traffic properties that require hands-free security. Specifically designed for gates weighing 50–125 lbs and up to 52" wide, it’s an economical, reliable solution for hotels, pools, parking lots, and office complexes.
- Gate Weight & Width: Closes gates weighing 50–125 lbs and up to 52" wide, with a maximum opening angle of 100° for most standard pedestrian gates.
- Closing Mechanism: Hydraulic/Nitrogen gas controlled closing speed with a preset closure for smooth, quiet operation.
- Mounting & Orientation: Mounts on the top, middle, or bottom of the gate and supports both left- and right-hand gates; installs on the opening side with included brackets and fitting bar.
- Materials & Finish: Constructed in steel (TB200 Black) or stainless steel (TB200SS Silver) with weather-resistant finishes suitable for outdoor use.
- Access Control Compatibility: Stable closing action recommended for gates that lock by maglock or electric strike; commonly paired with LockeyUSA 2835, 2210, 2830, 1150 keyless locks and SUMO GL2 surface mount gate lock for integrated security.
- Temperature Range: Operates reliably between 15°F and 122°F; extreme temperatures may affect performance.
- Chain-Link Compatibility: For chain-link gates, use TB-LINX (sold separately) to enable installation on those styles.
- Included Hardware: Mounting brackets and fitting bar are provided to simplify installation and ensure proper alignment.
- Safety & Warranty: To retain product warranty and restrict opening angle, a gate stop must be installed.
- Opening Pressure: Opening pressure approximately 3–7 lbs for controlled, predictable closure.
- Limitations: Not compatible with gates less than 30" wide; TB-LINX compatibility required for chain-link gates.
The TB200 provides a reliable, hands-free closure that enhances security while reducing gate wear from slamming and wind. It shines in busy environments—hotels, pool areas, and multi-point properties—where consistent closure and compatibility with common access-control hardware matter most. When paired with the appropriate locks and, if needed, the TB-LINX system for chain-link gates, the TB200 delivers a cohesive, self-contained access-control solution with durable steel or stainless construction designed to withstand outdoor use.
