Description
The Linear AP-5 Wireless Access Controller is a versatile access control solution designed to manage up to two gates, doors, mag-locks, barrier gates, or automatic gate operators. Its compact wireless design makes installation simple while providing dependable performance for residential, commercial, industrial, and perimeter security applications.
Featuring a built-in high-gain superheterodyne receiver, the AP-5 can receive transmitter signals from distances up to 500 feet under typical conditions. For installations requiring extended range, the controller is compatible with the optional Linear EXA-2000 directional antenna.
The AP-5 supports up to 480 Linear MegaCode® transmitters and up to 238 programmable entry codes, making it ideal for communities, apartment complexes, commercial facilities, parking areas, and gated properties. Flexible relay operation allows timed, latch-on, latch-off, or toggle activation to accommodate a wide variety of access control requirements.
The controller also supports MGT safety edge transmitters for entrapment protection, continuously monitoring transmitter status, tamper signals, and low-battery conditions to enhance system reliability and safety.
