Description
The EMX USVD-4X Ultrasonic Vehicle Detector is an above-ground vehicle detection sensor designed to provide reliable presence detection without the cost and disruption of installing inductive loops. Using Triangular Planar Array (TPA) ultrasonic technology, the USVD-4X detects vehicles within a 1 to 5-foot sensing zone, making it ideal for drive-thru lanes, parking facilities, car washes, pharmacies, banks, and access control systems.
Unlike traditional loop detectors that require cutting pavement, the USVD-4X mounts directly to a post, order box, or other fixed structure and is simply aimed at the desired detection area. No complex setup or calibration is required, helping reduce installation time and costs. The detector features dual Form C (SPDT) relay outputs, configurable pulse modes for entry, exit, or both, and selectable output delays of 1, 2, or 4 seconds for flexible system integration. Its rugged NEMA 4X ABS enclosure ensures dependable outdoor performance in demanding environments.
