Description
The EMX LRS-DB-50 Direct Burial Vehicle Detection Sensor is a stand-alone magnetoresistive sensor designed for use with the EMX LRS-C1 Controller as part of the EMX Loop Replacement System (LRS). This model includes a 50-foot direct burial lead and provides a reliable, cost-effective alternative to traditional inductive loops for automatic gates, barrier arms, parking facilities, drive-thrus, and access control systems. The sensor uses advanced 3-axis magnetoresistive sensing technology to detect changes in the Earth's magnetic field caused by ferrous vehicles, delivering dependable vehicle presence detection with minimal installation effort.
Designed for direct burial installation, the rugged IP69K-rated PVC housing can be installed below grade without conduit, or mounted above ground in select non-ferrous applications. The compact sensor requires only a single saw cut, significantly reducing labor and pavement repair costs compared to traditional inductive loop installations. When paired with the EMX LRS-C1 Controller (sold separately), the sensor supports DETECT-ON-STOP™ (DOS®) technology, allowing detection only after a vehicle comes to a complete stop while ignoring unwanted cross traffic.
Please Note: This listing includes the LRS-DB-50 sensor with a 50 ft. lead only. The EMX LRS-C1 Controller is required for operation and is sold separately.
