Description
The EMX LRS-DB-100 Direct Burial Vehicle Detection Sensor is a stand-alone magnetoresistive sensor designed for use with the EMX LRS-C1 Controller as part of the EMX Loop Replacement System (LRS). This model includes a 100-foot direct burial lead and provides a reliable, low-maintenance alternative to traditional inductive loops for automatic gates, barrier arms, parking systems, drive-thrus, loading docks, and access control applications. The sensor utilizes advanced 3-axis magnetoresistive sensing technology to detect changes in the Earth's magnetic field caused by ferrous vehicles, delivering accurate vehicle presence detection without requiring conventional loop installations.
Designed for direct burial installation, the rugged IP69K-rated PVC housing can be installed below grade without conduit or mounted above ground in suitable non-ferrous enclosures. The compact sensor requires only a single saw cut, significantly reducing installation time, labor, and pavement repair costs. When paired with the EMX LRS-C1 Controller (sold separately), the LRS-DB-100 supports EMX's exclusive DETECT-ON-STOP™ (DOS®) technology, allowing the system to ignore cross traffic by detecting only vehicles that come to a complete stop within the detection zone. The sensor stores calibration and operating parameters in non-volatile memory for dependable long-term performance.
Please Note: This listing includes the LRS-DB-100 sensor with a 100 ft. lead only. The EMX LRS-C1 Controller is required for operation and is sold separately.
