The EMX IRB-RET2 Retro-Reflective Photo Eye Kit is a universal UL325-compliant monitored photoelectric safety sensor designed for residential, commercial, and industrial automatic gate operators. With an operating range of up to 60 feet, integrated sensor hood, reflector hood, adjustable ball-and-socket mounting bracket, and multiple monitoring interface options, the IRB-RET2 provides dependable entrapment protection while simplifying installation.
Unlike traditional photo eyes that require two powered devices, the IRB-RET2 uses a retro-reflective design that combines the transmitter and receiver into a single housing while reflecting the infrared beam from the included reflector. This reduces installation time, minimizes wiring, and makes alignment quick and straightforward using the built-in LED indicators and sensitivity adjustment.
Designed for compatibility with virtually every major gate operator manufacturer, the EMX IRB-RET2 supports both monitored and non-monitored installations through six selectable monitoring methods, making it an excellent replacement or upgrade for new UL325 gate systems.
