Description
The EMX IRB-MON2 is a premium monitored through-beam photoeye system engineered to provide reliable entrapment protection for automatic gates, overhead doors, parking barriers, and industrial access control systems. Designed to meet UL325 safety requirements, the IRB-MON2 supports multiple monitoring methods, making it compatible with virtually every major gate operator manufacturer.
Unlike reflective photoeyes, the IRB-MON2 utilizes separate transmitter and receiver units to create a highly dependable infrared safety beam with an operating distance of up to 115 feet (35 meters). Integrated protective hoods help shield the optics from direct sunlight, rain, and debris while reducing false alarms caused by environmental conditions.
The kit includes both the transmitter and receiver, integrated protective hoods, removable terminal blocks for easy wiring, and removable lens sunshields. With support for Normally Closed (NC), 10K resistive monitoring, and both 2-wire and 3-frequency pulse monitoring, installers can easily configure the sensor for virtually any monitored gate operator.
Ideal for residential, commercial, industrial, and high-security installations, the IRB-MON2 delivers dependable performance in demanding outdoor environments while remaining backward compatible with many legacy non-monitored operators.
