The EMX IRB-4X2 Infrared Through-Beam Photo Eye Kit is a dependable external entrapment protection device designed for automatic gates and doors. This complete kit includes both the receiver (RX) and transmitter (TX) to provide reliable obstacle detection by creating an infrared beam across the gate or door opening. With an operating range of up to 115 feet, the IRB-4X2 is ideal for residential, commercial, and industrial access control applications.
Designed for easy installation, the IRB-4X2 features removable screw terminal blocks for simplified wiring, a red LED alignment indicator for quick setup, and an IP65-rated weather-resistant housing with an integrated hood for dependable outdoor performance. The unit operates on 12-24 VAC/DC and provides Form C (NO/NC/COM) relay outputs for compatibility with a wide range of gate and door operators. Please note that the IRB-4X2 is a non-monitored photo eye and is not compatible with operators requiring monitored UL 325 safety devices.
