Description
The EMX IRB-325 Infrared Through-Beam Photo Eye Kit is a UL 325-compliant external entrapment protection device designed for automatic gate and door operators. This complete kit includes both the receiver (RX) and transmitter (TX) to provide dependable through-beam obstacle detection for residential, commercial, and industrial access control applications. The IRB-325 operates over distances from 6 to 65 feet and is compatible with operators requiring monitored normally closed (NC) safety inputs.
Unlike retroreflective photo eyes, the IRB-325 uses separate transmitter and receiver units mounted on opposite sides of the opening, providing reliable detection that is unaffected by reflective surfaces. Its rugged NEMA 4X housing is built for demanding outdoor environments, while the Form C relay output allows integration with a wide variety of automatic gate and door operators.
