The EMX BPE-50 Battery-Powered Through-Beam Photo Eye Kit is a versatile infrared safety sensor system designed for automatic gates and overhead door operators. The kit includes a battery-powered transmitter (TX) and a wired receiver (RX), allowing installers to eliminate wiring to one side of the opening while maintaining reliable obstacle detection. Two included 3.6V lithium batteries power the transmitter for an expected battery life of up to 2 years, making the BPE-50 ideal for installations where trenching or running wire is impractical.
The BPE-50 features a through-beam infrared design with an operating range of up to 50 feet when using battery power (up to 90 feet when both units are externally powered), along with a 90° left/right beam adjustment for easy alignment. Its IP65-rated housing and energy-saving design provide dependable performance in residential and commercial outdoor environments.
