The DoorKing 6550-380 is a high-capacity commercial and industrial swing gate operator engineered for the largest and heaviest vehicular gates. Powered by a 1 HP continuous-duty AC motor, the 6550-380 is designed for demanding applications where maximum strength, durability, and long-term reliability are essential. Capable of operating gates up to 25 feet in length and 2,000 pounds, it is an ideal solution for industrial facilities, distribution centers, government sites, transportation hubs, and other high-security properties.
Built on a rugged commercial platform, the 6550-380 features a heavy-duty gear reduction system, adjustable electronic magnetic limits, mechanical slow start and slow stop operation, and a breakaway hub that helps protect the gearbox if the gate is accidentally struck. The operator also includes three 115 VAC convenience outlets, plug-in loop detector ports, selectable shadow/reverse loop functions, and Gate Tracker™ reporting capability for enhanced diagnostics and system monitoring. Optional backup power inverters are available to maintain operation during utility power outages.
The DoorKing 6550-380 integrates seamlessly with DoorKing telephone entry systems, keypads, card readers, RF transmitters, loop detectors, and monitored safety devices to create a complete commercial access control solution. When installed with the required monitored entrapment protection devices, the operator complies with UL 325 and UL 991 safety standards for Class I, II, III, and IV applications.
