The DoorKing 6524-380 is an AC-powered swing gate operator featuring built-in battery backup to keep your gate operating during power outages. Designed for residential, commercial, and light industrial applications, the 6524-380 combines a 1/2 HP Quadra Drive™ DC motor with 115/230 VAC input power, delivering reliable, quiet operation and dependable performance for high-cycle gate systems.
The operator is capable of automating swing gates up to 16 feet in length and 800 pounds. Its quiet belt-drive reduction system, heavy-duty steel frame, split housing for simplified maintenance, electronic magnetic limits, and breakaway hub provide long-lasting durability while reducing service time. During utility power outages, the built-in batteries automatically keep the operator running without interruption. Optional larger batteries can significantly increase backup cycle capacity.
The 6524-380 integrates with DoorKing telephone entry systems, keypads, card readers, RF transmitters, loop detectors, and monitored safety devices to create a complete access control solution. The advanced microprocessor controller provides soft start/soft stop operation, programmable functions, Gate Tracker™ reporting capability, and optional solar compatibility when equipped with the appropriate DoorKing solar kit. When installed with monitored entrapment protection devices, the operator complies with UL 325 safety requirements.
