The DoorKing 6500-381 is the secondary operator for the DoorKing 6500 Series dual swing gate system. Designed for use with the DoorKing 6500-380 primary operator, it combines a 1/2 HP continuous-duty AC motor with DoorKing's advanced belt-drive reduction system to provide smooth, quiet operation and dependable performance for commercial and industrial swing gate applications.
Engineered for high-cycle vehicular entrances, the 6500-381 is designed to operate swing gates up to 18 feet in length and 700 pounds. The operator features a rugged steel frame, split polyurethane housing for simplified maintenance, electronic magnetic limits, and DoorKing's unique breakaway hub, which helps protect the gearbox if the gate is accidentally struck. Secondary operators also include a 50-foot interconnection cable for easy connection to the primary operator in dual gate installations.
When paired with the DoorKing 6500-380, the 6500-381 creates a complete commercial swing gate solution compatible with DoorKing telephone entry systems, digital keypads, card readers, RF transmitters, loop detectors, and monitored safety devices. Features such as mechanical slow-start/slow-stop operation, Gate Tracker™ reporting capability, and plug-in loop detector ports help deliver reliable performance while simplifying installation and long-term maintenance. When installed with the required monitored entrapment protection devices, the operator complies with UL 325 and UL 991 safety requirements.
