Description
The Tomar 2795-3 Triple STROBESWITCH Assembly is a compact, three-detector system that opens access gates for first responders by detecting emergency vehicle strobe signals. It’s designed for gated properties needing rapid, reliable entry for fire and police responders, and it seamlessly interfaces with TOMAR or GTT OPTICOM optical signal emitters.
- Three-detector system: Utilizes three STROBESWITCH detectors to provide fast, reliable detection across multiple lanes.
- Interoperability: Interfaces with TOMAR or GTT OPTICOM optical signal emitters for proven compatibility with emergency vehicle signaling.
- Mounting: Each detector features a 1/2” female pipe hub mounting base for straightforward installation.
- Indoor/Outdoor operation: Built to operate indoors or outdoors, with design to withstand severe weather and harsh environments.
- Optical signaling: Signaling is line-of-sight optical transmission, immune to typical radio frequency interference.
- Digital frequency discrimination: Uses digital discrimination to reject unwanted signals such as flashlights or other lighting sources.
- Detector specs (range and field of view): Typical range up to 200 feet; Field of View of 10° vertical by 90° horizontal.
- Signal acquisition time: Quick 0.64-second signal acquisition to minimize gate delay.
- Indicator: Red LED lights when a proper optical signal is received, visible through the viewport up to 25 feet (useful with optional Hand Held Tester).
- Power and relay: 1790M–2 Power Module provides 12–24VDC, with a DPDT relay output of 2A @ 30VDC or 0.6A @ 120VAC; includes time delay settings (0–30 minutes) plus continuous latch mode and remote reset capability.
- Frequency signaling: Supports high-priority F14 at 14.035 Hz ±.25 Hz and low-priority F10 at 10.000 Hz ±.25 Hz for reliable signal recognition.
In practice, the 2795-3 streamlines access for first responders by reliably recognizing official optical strobe signals and triggering security gates, fire department doors, or other control devices. Its line-of-sight optical design means performance remains consistent in bright sunlight and challenging weather, while digital discrimination helps prevent false activations from unrelated lighting. Ideal for facilities that require rapid, controlled entry for emergency vehicles, this assembly delivers predictable, hands-free operation with straightforward integration into existing TOMAR or GTT OPTICOM systems.
