Description
The Tomar 2795-2 Dual STROBESWITCH Assembly is a compact, cost-effective dual detector system that opens access gates when it detects a strobe signal. It’s designed for facilities that must grant rapid entry to first responders during emergencies, such as fire stations, hospitals, and emergency-focused gate access points.
- Dual optical detectors: Two STROBESWITCH detectors work together to provide fast, reliable detection of emergency vehicle strobe signals.
- Interoperability: Interfaces with TOMAR or GTT OPTICOM optical signal emitters to align with standard emergency vehicle strobes.
- Indoor/Outdoor operation: Built to withstand harsh weather and bright sunlight, suitable for exterior gate installations.
- Mounting: 1/2” female pipe hub mounting base for straightforward installation on gates, posts, or walls.
- Line-of-sight sensing: Optical detection that requires a clear path from the strobe to the sensor, unaffected by radio frequency interference.
- Discrimination and reliability: Digital frequency discrimination rejects non-target signals (flashlights, decorative lights) for accurate triggering.
- Detection range and field of view: Typical range up to 200 feet with a 10° vertical and 90° horizontal field of view.
- Signal formats and priority: Monitors high-priority F14 (14.035 Hz ±.25 Hz) and low-priority F10 (10.000 Hz ±.25 Hz) signals.
- Power and output: 12–24 VDC input; DPDT relay output rated 2 A @ 30 VDC or 0.6 A @ 120 VAC; remote reset option.
- Indicator: Red LED lights to confirm receipt of a valid optical signal; visible through the viewport for quick field verification (up to 25 ft).
- Time control: Adjustable time delay from 0–30 minutes with continuous latch mode for extended gate opening during incidents.
